At Forest Hills Family Dental we have always held the highest standards for infection control practices, but with the ongoing pandemic we have taken everything to a new level. Some of the changes we have implemented will likely be temporary but many will be permanent. Below are some of the things we have changed to keep our patients and staff safe:
Pre-screening- All patients will be pre-screened prior to their appointment and again when they arrive. This includes taking a temperature reading on everyone that comes into our office (including employees) and rescheduling as needed.
Masks - All patients are asked to wear a mask when they enter our office for their appointment and will keep their mask on when not receiving dental care.
Closed waiting room- Patients will be asked to wait in their car and call our office and we will let them know when we are ready for them to enter and be escorted directly into their treatment room.
Air Purification- All of our treatment rooms have been equipped with medical grade air purification.
Acrylic sneeze guards- Barriers have been installed at the front desk area. Please stay behind the barriers when talking to our staff at the desk.
Enhanced PPE - Our staff will be wearing different personal protective equipment than what you are accustomed to seeing us wear in the past.
Additional changes include:
Pre-treatment mouth rinses
Extra high volume suctions
Staggered appointment times
Extended time between patients
Limited number patients in the office at one time
Hand sanitizer stations
Added staff to help with sterilization
